The directory was seeded from the tools firms told us they run, so plenty of good products aren't in it yet. Listing is free — we don't charge for inclusion, and paying us doesn't change how a tool is described.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

How does a tool get listed in The Firm’s directory?
We list the software accounting and bookkeeping firms actually run, worldwide, whether or not the vendor pays us. Unclaimed listings carry the essentials — what the tool is, what it plugs into and where to find it. Claiming a listing is free, and lets the vendor write the description, features, pricing and screenshots themselves.
Are paid listings marked?
Yes. Claimed and verified listings are labelled as such, and every outbound link to a vendor carries a sponsored attribute. Placement of a paid listing never changes what we write about a tool editorially.
What’s the difference between the two shelves?
Tools for your practice are what an accounting or bookkeeping firm runs itself — practice management, workpapers, document systems, professional tax software. Tools for your clients are what a firm puts its business clients on and supports them through, mostly ledgers, receipt capture and payments. A few, like Dext and Hubdoc, sit on both.
Does The Firm recommend one tool over another?
The directory does not rank tools by preference. It tells you what a tool does, what it integrates with, how it charges and where it is available, so you can shortlist against your own stack. Where we have covered a tool editorially, that coverage is linked from its listing.
My product isn’t listed. How do I get it added?
Submit it at thefirm.media/partners/submit. Listing is free — we don’t charge for inclusion, and paying us doesn’t change how a tool is described. We check a product is genuinely used by accounting or bookkeeping firms before listing it.
I run this product — how do I claim the listing?
Open your tool’s listing and use the claim link on it — claiming is free. We verify you work for the vendor, using your work email address, before handing over the profile.
