What accounting firms actually run

1 firm on The Firm has shared the software they run. Lists appear once a category has enough firms behind it to mean something; here is what they run so far.

Updated 9 December 2025. Counts are distinct firms.

How this works

Methodology

How are these lists put together?
Signed-in readers list the software their firm runs on their profile. Each count is the number of distinct firms that listed the tool; a firm is a profile with a firm name. A tool appears only with 3 or more firms behind it, and a category only once 5 or more firms have picked something in it. Vendors have no input and nothing here can be bought.
Why is a tool I use not on the list?
Fewer than 3 firms on The Firm have listed it yet. Add it to your stack on your profile and it counts from the next refresh.
Do paid placements affect the counts?
No. A Category Partner placement is labelled where it appears and is not counted toward any position. Paying never changes how a tool is described on this site.
How often do the lists update?
Continuously. The page rebuilds from live picks within minutes of a change; the date above is the most recent pick counted.

Lists: The Ledger Room, The Bills Desk, The Compliance Shelf, The Advisory Stack, The Practice Backbone, The AI Desk, The Front Door. Each covers the directory categories named in its blurb; together they cover all nineteen.
