Intermediate Accountant

We’re representing a local accounting firm in the Knoxville, Pennsylvania area that is hiring a full-time Tax & Payroll Accountant. The role combines payroll processing, general accounting, corporate tax returns, and individual income tax work. This is a good fit for someone who wants broader responsibility than a payroll-only position. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting or payroll experience. Experience with 941s, W-2s, reconciliations, garnishments, and tax preparation is preferred. Pennsylvania CPA credentials are strongly preferred, and public accounting or CPA-firm experience is a plus. In the first 90 days, the goal is for the new hire to become comfortable with the firm’s payroll and accounting processes, begin supporting tax work, and take on a broader mix of client responsibilities. This is a permanent, on-site position in the Knoxville / Tioga County area.
